The Canadian Coach Association is happy to announce that our annual meeting will be held on June 10th and 11th in Toronto.
We would like to encourage all of our members to attend, as this will be a great opportunity to network and learn more about what the CCA has been up to lately.
We are also inviting all of our newcomers to participate in this event. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the organization and meet other coaches from across the country.
The CCA would like to thank our main sponsor, , for their support of this event. Without their help, we would not be able to bring you this great opportunity.
The Canadian Coach Association (CCA) is an independent organization that represents professional coaches in Canada. We provide resources and support, offering certification programs to ensure that all mentors are properly trained and qualified. The Canadian Coach Association also advocates for the profession and promotes the benefits of training to the public.
The CCA was founded in 2003 and currently has over 1,500 members. The organization is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.
The association provides a number of benefits to local coaches, including access to networking opportunities and professional development.
Our mission is to "support and develop professional trainers in Canada through education, certification, and advocacy".
The CCA’s Certification Program is the first step towards becoming a professional coach in Canada. It provides you with basic skills and is divided into two parts: the online course and the practical exam.
The online course is self-paced and can be taken at your own convenience. It covers topics such as coaching philosophy, ethics, communication, and planning. Once you have completed this step, you will be eligible to take the practical exam.
The practical exam is a hands-on test that allows you to demonstrate your skills. You will be given a number of scenarios and will be required to coach a player through each one. The exam is designed to assess your ability to apply the principles you learned in the online course.
Once you have passed the practical exam, you will be awarded your CCA Coaching Certificate. It is valid for three years and can be renewed by taking the online course or going through the practical exam again.
The agenda for this year's meeting will include:
As we all adapt to the new reality of living with COVID-19, it's important to take steps to ensure that our coaching practices are safe and effective. Our experts are going to address the most urgent topics:
Apart from the 2022 meeting, we are also going to discuss the upcoming Coach Association Festival. Our great outdoors conventions provide an excellent opportunity for trainers to come together and discuss their experiences. This year's event promises to be particularly beneficial, as it will feature a wide range of workshops, seminars, and panel discussions on various relevant topics.
This is a great chance to learn from each other and improve the quality of service that we provide to our customers. Mentors who are interested in attending the festival should definitely make use of this opportunity.
