This publication is designed for coaches by coaches and athletes to address important issues about coaching female athletes. It was designed as a result of repeated requests for information on this topic. The intent of this publication is to build a positive approach to coaching female athletes. It is important to remember that every athlete is different and that an athlete-centred model is the best way to meet the individual needs of all athletes. This resource has information on keeping young women involved in sport as well as meeting the needs of the elite athlete.
